Chemical Peel Services
Chemical Peels are one of Dr. Lucie’s and Lindsey’s favorite treatments. We generally recommend to have one every month to preserve and promote the health of your skin. Our skin care professionals are not only Oklahoma Board certified, but also PCA SKIN advance treatment providers, meaning they have gone above and beyond their formal education to be able to provide the best possible outcomes with your chemical peels and daily skincare routines. Dr. Lucie was a National Advanced Educator for PCA from 2006-2011, teaching physicians, nurse and anesthetics the science behind chemical peels. In 2010 she trained Lindsey and is happy to have Lindsey now with the CryoMed Clinic team.

DO NOTHING to your skin today! Avoid washing your face, for best results sleep in your peel and provider applied products, then start your PCA SKIN Post-Procedure product kit in the morning.
It is recommended that liquid makeup not be applied post-treatments as it is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest over night; however, powered mineral makeup, such as Mineralogie, can be applied 15 minutes after treatment if necessary, but can not be washed off until the following morning.
Please avoid strenuous exercise during this time. Water applied to the skin or sweat coming up out of the skin can reactivate the peel, causing a stinging sensation and unpredictable results.
The days hours your peel, your skin will be light yellow. This is temporary and will fade in a short period of time. Swelling, redness or brown discoloration may occur, use PCA SKIN CliniCalm 1% cortisone 3-5 times a day on these areas. These areas that become darker are generally the last to peel.
Approximately 48 hours after treatment, your skin will start peeling. The peeling will last about 2 to 3 days. You are advised to refrain from picking the skin to avoid redness and irritation. Picking and pulling at peeling skin can cause post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation or hypopigmentation. Apply CliniCalm to spot treat areas of inflammation, rebalance for mild flaking and SilkCoat balm for more intense peeling.
When washing your face, do not scrub. Use a gentle cleanser, i.e. PCA Skin Facial Wash that comes in your Post-Procedure kit. If not available, Cetaphil Cleanser or any other soap-less cleanser. DO NOT RUB DRY. Pat dry only.
Apply light moisturizer (Lubriderm, Eucerine, PCA Skin Rebalance or PCA Skin SilkCoat Balm, Aquaphor, Cetaphil Moisturizer for oily skin) as often as needed to relieve dryness and tightness. This might be twice a day, it might be every hour. Try not to rub moisturizer deep into the skin, as this can sometimes cause blemishes. Pat in.
Absolutely must use SPF 30 and avoid sunlight as much as possible for 5-7 days after the treatment. To prevent future sun damage, continue SPF 30 or greater daily.
Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing or any other facial treatment for 5-7 days after treatment.
You may resume the regular use of products or bleaching creams ONLY after the peeling process is complete and redness has subsided. (approximately 1 week).
Remember, you may not even ‘peel’ with peel. If you schedule peels regularly, you increase your cell turn over rate therefore creating healthy, beautiful skin.
